Day 14 - Favorite male character
Coach Eric Taylor (FNL): I think a lot before to made my choice. For who like me looks too many tv show isn’t easy choose only one favorite character, but in the end I took my decision. Coach Taylor is a great man, but not a hero. He always find the right thing to say, but not without reflect a lot. He’s a devoted husband and an amazing father, but he had got his problems with his wife and daughter. Why I love this character so much? Because he’s a normal man. A man that you can find out of your door. He isn’t a hero, he isn’t someone that wants to change the world, he’s a family man. He’s a mentor to his players and like a father for everyone of them. I love Coach Taylor for all this reasons, I love him because he’s always able to find the right word at the right moment… because he’s always present for who needs his help… I love Coach Taylor because he’s simply a normal man.
Tami Taylor: Um, hi y’all, I’m here to, uh, talk to you a little bit about Coach Eric Taylor! And uh, you all know him as your leader, you know, your kind of father figure, hard ass guy screaming at you from the sidelines but there’s a whole other kind of Eric Taylor that I know that maybe y’all don’t and I’d just like to share that with you a little bit. So um, let me start with what I’ve learned from him as a… as a human being. I mean, what he has brought to me as a person. The power eye, the nickel defense, the 3-4, the 4-3, and of course, the spread formation. Ways I have grown since I have been with this man could fill a stadium. And then there’s Eric Taylor, the family man. We have wonderful Sunday mornings together… watching game film. Saturday afternoons with our daughter, watching game film. Oh, and then Taylor Tuesday, where we’ll have a pizza delivered and play scrabble and then.. watch some game film. And I wanna tell y’all, I know he is a busy, busy man, y’all keep him very busy, but he is also a sensitive and caring husband and he will take me out for quiet, romantic evenings, just the two of us and we’ll commonly be heard shouting things like, “pick up the blitz!” Or, “hit and drive!” And my favorite, “go for two!” Seriously, Eric Taylor… is a kind and decent man. And he’s strong, and he has vision, and he’s passionate. And he’s real good at imparting that passion into the hearts of the people around him. And he loves y’all kids, every single one of y’all. I just wanted to tell you how much y’all have touched us, how important y’all are to us, how deeply we care about you. So thank y’all, from our whole family, thank you.
